Merryn’s first novel, The Silent Village, was published in 2013 becoming a best seller in New Zealand and one of three finalists in the The People’s Book Prize competition 2015 in the UK. Her subsequent novels, The Paris Inheritance and The Peacock Room were also best sellers in New Zealand, and The Peacock Room made the UK WH Smiths summer holiday choice reads 2019. Her most recent novel, Behind the Butterfly Gate was published in 2021.
